Course Description
Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking conference exploring the latest developments in evidence-based caries management and contemporary dental practice. Through expert-led presentations, delegates will gain practical insights into prevention, minimum intervention dentistry, paediatric caries care, vital pulp therapies and the wider factors that influence oral health throughout life.
Alongside clinical updates, the programme will address some of the most important issues facing today’s dental workforce, including wellbeing, safeguarding, inclusion, ergonomics and career sustainability. Course Aims
- To provide dental professionals with contemporary, evidence-based knowledge and practical skills that promote minimally interventionist approaches to oral health and patient care. To support and enhance the health, wellbeing and sustainability of the dental workforce throughout all stages of professional practice.
Course Objectives
By the end of the conference delegates will be able to:
- Apply current evidence-based principles of prevention and minimum intervention oral care to support the management of dental caries across a range of patient groups.
- Evaluate contemporary minimally invasive treatment approaches, including deep caries management, vital pulp therapies and paediatric caries care.
- Recognise the impact of systemic, lifestyle and dietary factors on oral health, and incorporate this knowledge into patient-centred care planning.
- Appreciate the oral health implications of significant life stages and health conditions, including menopause, osteoporosis, ageing and the use of weight management medications.
- Identify ways to support a safe, inclusive and responsive dental profession, including recognising safeguarding concerns and understanding challenges affecting the modern workforce.
- Implement practical strategies to enhance professional wellbeing, ergonomics and career sustainability, helping to prevent burnout and maintain high-quality patient care throughout a dental career.
Course Learning Content
This conference will be mainly lecture-based, giving participants the opportunity to explore current evidence-based approaches to caries prevention and minimum intervention dentistry. Sessions will cover contemporary management of caries across different patient groups, including paediatric care, vital pulp therapies and deep caries management. Delegates will also examine the impact of systemic health, lifestyle factors and ageing on oral health. In addition, the programme will address safeguarding, workforce challenges, wellbeing and strategies for maintaining a sustainable and rewarding dental career.
