Course Description
Simulation Training Week 1 – Manual Dexterity Training
Aims
- To learn how the Simodont Trainer works.
- Improve manual dexterity skills.
- Refresh knowledge of dental anatomy.
Learning Objectives
- To have an understanding of the role of the Simodont unit for DFT.
- To gain confidence in using the Simodont unit for practicing clinical skills.
- To ensure a sound knowledge of dental anatomy.
Course Description
APLAN Milestone 1 Case Presentation
Aim
To understand the diagnostic and treatment pathways for a range of dental presentations and the importance of holistic care and the role of peer evaluation in improving professional standards.
Learning Objectives
At end of session, the FD should be able to:
- Accurately self-appraise own professional performance in planning and managing patient care.
- Identify and evaluate the appropriate stages in the diagnostic pathway.
- Evaluate treatment options and treatment outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback to peers.
