Course Aims
- Improve confidence in case selection and placement of Hall technique pre-formed metal crowns in children.
- To help you manage children in pain more effectively and to know what to do if you can’t.
Course Objectives
At the end of this session delegates should be able to:
- Understand background to Hall technique crowns.
- Describe indications and contraindications for Hall technique.
- Understand behavioural management techniques for placing ‘Hall crowns’.
- Demonstrate fitting a Hall technique crown in simple steps.
- Understand causes of pain in paediatric patient.
- Recognise signs and clinical presentations of a child in pain.
- Discuss treatment options for children in pain.
- Have an awareness of how to manage co-operative and non-co-operative children in pain.
- Understand other factors involved in treating children.
