2 hour Dental Radiography online session with Barbara Lamb

Course Aim

• The aim of this webinar is to simplify and clarify requirements for dental practice or community service in the audit of dental radiographs. To ensure that clinical audit is undertaken and the content of the written procedures are audited to ensure compliance by the duty holders.

Course Objectives

At the end of this session delegates should be able to:

• Ensure the consistent production of radiographs of adequate quality for diagnostic purposes, minimising patient doses as far as possible.
• Monitor image quality performance on a regular basis using a simple subjective image quality rating system

Course Learning Content

The use of recommended performance targets representing what is observed to be achievable in the majority of well-managed dental practices. The incorporation of a clearly defined regime to ensure that image quality is rated and the results analysed so as to permit comparison with the agreed performance targets. Understanding how analysis should be undertaken by an operator who is adequately trained and experienced in taking dental radiographs (or dental CBCT images) of the types being rated or audited.
