APLAN Milestone 1 Case Presentation

Course Aims

• To understand the diagnostic and treatment pathways for a range of dental presentations and the importance of holistic care and the role of peer evaluation in improving professional standards.
• The aim of this session is to practice a range of endodontic access cavity preparations in different teeth.

Course Objectives

At end of session, the FD should be able to:

• Accurately self appraise own professional performance in planning and managing patient care.
• Identify and evaluate the appropriate stages in the diagnostic pathway.
• Evaluate treatment options and treatment outcomes.
• Provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Develop existing manual dexterity skills.
• Practice using indirect vision in endodontic cavity preparation.
• Demonstrate appropriate access cavity preparations for endodontic treatment
