Course Description

Level 3 Safeguarding Champion course with Mary McCartan

Course Aims

• To provide knowledge and skills required by the current legislation and guidelines to equip the Adult Safeguarding Champion with the competence to promote the safety and wellbeing of Adults at Risk, within the remit of their role and responsibility and in accordance with RQIA minimum standards.

Course Objectives

• Understand their role in the safeguarding process
• Be aware of the process for referral to Gateway services
• Understand their responsibilities in supporting staff in Adult safeguarding
• Understand the process of investigation and referral to relevant agencies
• To compile and analyse records
