Course Description
This course introduces Dental Nurses to the principles and practical use of intra‑oral scanning. The session explains how digital scans are used in modern dentistry and outlines the steps involved in capturing accurate images of the dentition. Delegates will learn where intra‑oral scanners add value in day‑to‑day practice, how they support clinical workflows and start the journey of taking accurate intra-oral scans.
Course Aims
The purpose of this course is to educate Dental Nurses in the principles and practical implementation of intra-oral scanning.
Course Objectives
At the end of this session, delegates should be able to:
- Discuss the uses and benefits of intra-oral scanners in practice
- Describe the technique and workflow of using an intra-oral scanner to record the dentition
- Begin to take accurate intra-oral scans of patients under the prescription of a clinician
