Course Description
This course gives participants the knowledge and practical techniques needed to use composite materials confidently for anterior teeth. The focus is on achieving predictable aesthetics and good functional outcomes in everyday clinical dentistry.You will learn how current composite technology works and what affects its performance. We will look at how composites are classified, what they are made of, and what this means for clinical use. The session also covers the role of adhesives and how to use them effectively alongside modern composite systems.
Course Aims
The aim of this course is to provide participants with knowledge and techniques to confidently use composite materials for anterior teeth to promote aesthetics and function in clinical dentistry.
Course Objectives
At the end of this session delegates should be able to:
- Review of composite technology
- Recognise the classification, composition and performance factors of composites
- Appreciate the requirements of adhesives in conjunction with composite technology
- Recognise how techniques need to be adapted to maximise the success of composite restorations
- Demonstrate techniques of composite use to achieve aesthetic anterior composite restorations

This session is intended to build confidence in the attendees to have the ability to chose the correct composite materials and the techniques to use them effectively to provide anterior composite restorations for patients
