- Apply clinically proven crown preparation techniques demonstrated through video-based teaching and guided instruction.
- Understand how improved preparation design can simplify restorative procedures and enhance long-term restorative outcomes.
- Gain practical experience performing crown preparations on molar and incisor teeth using the Simodont virtual reality simulation system.
- Develop greater confidence in their ability to perform accurate, predictable crown preparations in clinical practice.
Course Learning Content
This hands-on course is designed to provide clinicians with a practical and evidence-based approach to contemporary crown treatment, from diagnosis and preparation through to digital workflows and final restoration. Delegates will explore case selection, material choices, tooth preparation principles, impression and scanning techniques, provisionalisation, and cementation protocols. Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and simulated practical exercises, participants will gain confidence in delivering predictable, minimally invasive crown restorations in everyday practice. The course will also introduce digital technologies, including intraoral scanning and CAD/CAM workflows, enabling delegates to enhance efficiency, accuracy, patient experience, and clinical outcomes.
