Team Work within Small Groups and Team Dynamics & Joining an Established Team
Course Aims
- To explore the idea of leadership and find how it applies to working in Dental teams.
Course Objectives
List of objectives for the course
- Explore relevant theories of Leadership and how they apply to working in professional teams;
- Identify specific behaviours that separate Leaders from Managers (and explore what it is to be a leader when others have more organisational power and influence);
- Recognise the different (and changing) roles there are within a team and why change can be problematic;
- Identify their own ‘Thinking Style’ and the impact that this has on communication; and
- Practice the language needed to engage staff.
