Crown Preparation course for Dentists with David McCaughey

Course Aims

• To introduce course participants to Virtual Reality (VR) use in Dentistry.
• To allow Dentists attending to experience VR use.
• To experience the Simodont system
• To review some essential features of good crown preparations and to attempt to replicate these using VR

Course Objectives

• Have an understanding of what Virtual Reality (VR) is.
• Experience the use of VR in relation to Dental practice.
• Gain experience in familiarisation with the Simodont system.
• Have an update on the features of desirable features of crown preparations

Course Learning Content

Appraise the fundamental concepts, principles, theories and possibilities of the use of VR in Dentistry.
Assess it’s potential use for future practical personal training relating to improving outcomes in clinical practice.
