Radiography training for dental team

Course Aims

This webinar is designed to update the Dental teams’ knowledge of factors relating to IRMER18 with regard to the new Guidance notes. It will cover many of the key points of IRMER 2018, increasing the confidence of Dentists and Dental Care Professionals when documenting dental radiographs and updating their knowledge of factors relating to quality assurance and dose limitation to patients and staff in dental radiography.

Course Objectives

Discuss the responsibilities of dentists and DCPs under current IRMER legislation with clarification of the regulations as they relate to General Practice and the Salaried Services.
State how radiographs are produced and how this relates to IRMER documentation.
Discuss entitlement and the training needed for the roles of the duty holders.
Clarify the importance of the IRMER18 procedures in everyday practice

Course Learning Content

It will clarify the roles and duties of the dental team. This is a practical approach to IR(ME)R regulations and quality assurance in dental radiography. It will cover many of the key points of radiation protection, quality assurance and dose limitation to patients
