Course Objectives
- To understand and describe the importance and role of radiography in dentistry, including different radiographic techniques and their optimal usage.
- To gain comprehensive knowledge about dental radiography practices, including knowledge of the equipment, environment, and facilities required, along with adhering to contemporary guidance.
- To critically examine the scientific basis of dental radiography, as well as identify the limitations, benefits, and risks associated with it.
- To recognize personal limitations and reflect on experiences in dental radiography in order to emphasize the importance of continuing professional development.
- To develop practical skills to perform effective and risk managed dental radiography, including managing complications and difficulties, remaining calm under pressure, and communicating compassionately and effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
