Course Description
Course Aims
- Recognise common medication groups that alter dental treatment planning.
- Identify when to treat, when to modify treatment, and when to seek medical advice.
- Apply current SDCEP/NICE/RCS-FDS principles to bleeding risk, infection risk and local anesthesia.
- Document risk discussions, liaison and hemostatic measures clearly
Course Objectives
- Have a better understanding of treating patients on biological drugs.
- Be able to recognise the effect medication has on treating patients.
- Be able to know what to do why the patient have postoperative problems.
- How to alter safely alter patients medication when having dental treatment carried out.
- How to find information regarding medications.
