Hands on Crown Lengthening Course for Dentists

To enable participants to develop skills in crown lengthening surgery, with a special focus on its application to aesthetic dentistry.
To illustrate the integral role of crown lengthening in achieving optimal restorative and cosmetic outcomes for certain patients.
To examine advanced biological and anatomical considerations that underpin successful outcomes.
To enhance clinical decision-making for complex restorative cases.
To provide hands-on experience with surgical techniques and materials relevant to aesthetic crown lengthening.

To understand the fundamental principles of dental aesthetics and assess patients regarding aesthetic, restorative and surgical factors.
To evaluate indications and potential contraindications for crown lengthening procedures.
To be able to treatment plan for single tooth and multiple tooth cases.
To discuss surgical applications with practical experience in flap reflection, bone recontouring and suturing techniques
To identify and manage potential complications and discuss the post-operative care and healing.
To analyse clinical cases illustrating the aesthetic and restorative applications.
To engage in practical sessions involving crown lengthening procedures, allowing participants to practice flap design, bone recontouring, and suturing under guided supervision.

This course is intended to expand delegates knowledge of the restorative and surgical aspects of crown lengthening.
Attendees will learn how to assess a patient’s smile and facial aesthetics, including evaluating tooth alignment, shape, and overall harmony.
Discussion will focus on biological principles and restorative indications.
Surgical techniques will be explored with a hands on practical.
