Course Description
This course helps dental professionals understand why good communication matters in the clinical setting. Strong communication supports a better patient experience, smoother clinical workflow, effective teamwork, and safer care.
Participants will look at what makes communication effective and how it shapes day‑to‑day practice. The session focuses on practical skills that can be used immediately in patient interactions and within the wider dental team.

To understand the importance of communication in the clinical setting- in order to improve patient experience, clinical efficiency, team work and overall quality of patient care
Course Objectives
At the end of the session delegates should be able to:
- Understand importance of effective communication
- Improve communication skills with patient
- Improve and strengthen team communication
- Manage challenging communication scenarios

- Discussion around why communication is so important
- Consider with whom we communicate
- Consider communication within your team specific scenarios of difficult communication e.g. complaints, breaking bad news
