Course Description
This session introduces the core responsibilities of a clinical supervisor and offers practical tools to support trainees in delivering safe and effective care. The focus is on the day‑to‑day behaviours that help trainees grow professionally, educationally and personally.
The course looks at what makes an effective supervisor, how to build supportive working relationships, and how to create an environment where trainees feel able to learn and ask for help. We also cover constructive feedback, common barriers to giving feedback, and ways to guide trainee development in a busy clinical setting.

Course Learning Content
The session explores the core skills and behaviours required to supervise trainees effectively in a dental clinical environment. The focus is on practical approaches that supervisors can apply immediately in their day‑to‑day role.
