Course Description

This course is suitable for dentists and therapists who would like to review materials used as alternatives to amalgam.

Course Aims

• The aims for this hands-on workshop is to highlight and experience non-amalgam filling products that can be used in posterior teeth.

Course Objectives

By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to: 

• Discuss and plan options for cavity design and restoration

• Identify cavity designs and desired material selections

• Discuss likely future requirements for restoration selection

• Evaluate and apply isolation, matrices selection and placement
• Select and complete a restoration with appropriate finishing techniques

Course Learning Content

This will be a hands on workshop with the opportunity to experience dental materials suitable as alternative to amalgam.
